STEP Class of 2011 applications are due Monday, January 5th. We are actively recruiting World Languages & Cultures educators.

	STEP shares the position of the National Academy of Sciences, affirming that biological evolution is the central organizing principle of modern biology. See National Academy of Sciences (2008). Science, Evolution, and Creationism.
	One of five chosen Teacher of the Year in California, Kelly Kovacic (AM '02) teaches Social Studies to low-income student populations. She also was selected as California’s nominee for the prestigious National Teacher of the Year competition.
	Haydee Rodriguez (AM '01) has been elected to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Board of Directors for a term of three years.
