The Stanford Symphony Orchestra can provide small ensembles for every occasion! We offer affordable quality music. In lieu of a standard rate, we are asking for donations to help support our tour this year. Donations will go towards ensuring that all our student-musicians are able to attend the tour, supporting financial assistance for qualified students and lowering the contributions required per student.
- On-campus events - suggested donation of $400 per hour
- Off-campus events - suggested donation of $450 per hour, plus travel expenses
We primarily offer string quartets, but requests for other kinds of ensembles are welcome. We may be able to provide anything from solo trumpet players to woodwind quintets to multiple string ensembles. We normally ask for surcharges on larger ensembles, and discounts are negotiable for smaller groups.
We have a list of standard repertoire below; if you don’t see your favorite quartet on the list, talk to us and we’ll do our best to accomodate you.
