Stanford New Ensemble

The Stanford New Ensemble is Stanford University’s resident ensemble for performing new music. Under the direction of Professor Jindong Cai and comprised of students and guest artists, the ensemble regularly performs works by some of the most adventurous 20th and 21st centuries composers, as well as premiering works by Stanford University’s own faculty and student composers.  In May 2011, the ensemble was invited by the Beijing Modern Music Festival to present a program of “Music from Stanford” in Beijing and Shanghai.
