About SSDS

Social Science Data and Software (SSDS) is a group within the Stanford University Libraries (SUL) that provides services and support to Stanford faculty, staff and students in the acquisition, curation, and preservation of social science data and the selection and use of quantitative (statistical) and qualitative analysis software. SSDS staff provide these services in a variety of ways that include consulting, workshops and help documentation. We are located in the Social Sciences Resource Center (SSRC) on the first floor of the Green Library Bing Wing. |
Consulting
Walk-in Consulting Hours*
Finding and Getting Data
Monday-Thursday: 1:00-3:00pm
Selecting and Using Quantitative and Qualitative Software
Monday-Thursday: 3:00-5:00pm
Consulting takes place in The Velma Denning Room, located on the first floor of the Green Library Bing Wing.
*Walk-in consulting begins the second week of the quarter (Fall-Spring) and is not available during finals week, intersession or summer quarter.
