Nickname: may-z, Maiser
Year: 2005
Major: Economics
Hometown: (a lame suburb outside of) Boston
Interests outside of squash: squash, basketball,
west wing, France, chick-flicks, Kairos (x-?-s: the only
Greek sounding house that would ever accept me).
Who is/are your role model(s)? Some hybrid of Jason
Miller, Suzi Smith and Mark Talbott. It's for you to deduce
the talents that I admire in each.
Favorite food & drink: a kir, an ice cream sundae
and a Paris café
Favorite movies: Sound of Music, Dr. Zhivago, Nowhere
in Africa, Love & Basketball
Favorite books: Mrs. Dalloway by VW, the Endurance
(about the Shackleton expedition) by Alfred Lansing, Hornet
Flight by Ken Follett
Favorite Quote: La faiblesse aux humains n'est que
trop naturelle. -Racine.
Favorite Country: La France, evidemment.
Raison d'être: At this point, I'd have to say
Stanford squash. Perhaps that will change when I graduate.
Greatest sports moment: Winning three matches at
Howe Cup freshman year despite running into lots of walls
and not knowing what "hand-out" meant.
One goal you would most like to meet in the next year:
For the team to break the top 20, play in the C-division,
get uniforms that look good on someone other than Lisa and
Patricia and have enormous amounts of fun.
Something about you not many people know: My younger
brother plays tennis at Duke and is significantly cooler
than I am. He yearned to play squash in high school, but
then his tennis coach threatened to quit.
