Match Updates

The Inaugural West Coast Round Robin was a great success for the Stanford men, who defeated Washington 8-1 and Berkeley 9-0. (Scores)

The First Annual Bay Club - Stanford Match was held, with impressive trophies for the winner. The Women took a tough loss, but the Men emerged on top to take home one of the two trophies... at least for this year.

Updates Galore!

Matches - The Men and Women put up valiant performances against the Harvard Teams, but both fell 9-0. (Scores)

The Stanford men's team finished 3rd in the Decathalon Tournament last weekend with a weakened lineup, losing to the Harvard women, but defeating the East Bay Club and Decathalon Club.

The Women's Team now has a recap of their amazing performance at Yale!

Home Sweet Home

The Men's and Women's teams are both safely, and for once, uneventfully back at Stanford. The Men's team went 2-2 with wins over Hamilton and Rochester, while the Women's team put up several wins and just narrowly lost to #12 Bowdoin 5-4.

Trinity Women Scrimmage, Harvard, and Yale

The Men's Team + Maisy and Brooksie fell just short of deafeating the Trinity Women losing 4-5 over the top nine positions. Over the top 15 spots however, the combined Stanford team notched an impressive 10-5 victory. Full Scores.

The End of 2004 and the Start of 2005

To wrap up last year, the Women's Team kicked off its season with a friendly match against the Pac Club. Read about it here. And three members of the Men's Team entered a 3 man tournament. Here's a recap of "The Stanford Superstars".

Strong Showing by Men at Dartmouth

After significant transportation problems, the men got down to business, defeating #21 George Washington 8-1 [scores], but losing to #14 Bowdoin 1-8 [scores] and #26 Connecticut College 4-5 [scores] in an incredibly close match. Here's the recap.

Men's Team Season Begins

The Stanford's mens team started off with a tough 0-9 loss to a very strong Navy team, but followed it up with a 9-0 victory over Utah later that day [scores]. In the traditional club vs. team match, the team barely pulled out a 5-4 victory in the top 9 spots, but the club won by an overall score of 7-6. The men's team also traveled to Berkeley, where they defeated Cal 9-0 without dropping a game.

Squash Magazine Coverage

Squash magazine's October 4th publication featured a nice article on Stanford Squash written by two of our very own - Mark Goldenson and Maisy Samuelson. Highlights include a picture of Mark Talbott sporting his new Stanford clothing, a look at Stanford Squash's past and future, and quotes from both our men's and women's team captains! Eight New International Courts In 2005

After an extensive needs study and consultation with Athletics throughout 2001-2002, Stanford Squash is excited to announce the construction of eight glass-backed international courts to be completed by Summer 2005 in the new Arrillaga Family Recreation Center!

Mark Talbott Named Director of Stanford Squash

Former world #1 Mark Talbott, previously the head coach of the #1 Yale women's team, will take over the Stanford Squash program, including coaching the Stanford men's and women's teams! This is a huge step forward for the program. Read the press release.

Fall Quarter Recreational Club Signups

Registration for the fall quarter club has begun! The first practice will be Monday, Oct 4. Sign up online.

Men's and Women's Team Tryouts

Intercollegiate team tryouts will be held the second week of fall quarter at the deGuerre courts. Click the appropriate link for more info.
Men's team tryouts: 4-6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 5 and Thursday, Oct. 7.
Women's team tryouts: 4-6 pm Monday, Oct. 4 and Wednesday, Oct. 6.
