DESCRIPTION:
Tooling Up for Digital Histories is a collaboration between the Spatial History Project and the Computer Graphics Lab at Stanford University and many others to compile and create new tools for digital and spatial research in the humanities. The project's first step is assembling a wiki toolbox of existing tools, as well as wish lists for tools that could be developed. Assembling this toolbox is a community effort involving faculty, staff, and student researchers as well as online contributors.

Please consider contributing to this community effort.

You can usually find the toolbox here: Toolbox for Digital and Spatial Humanities. However our toolbox is currently back in the shop for repairs. Please check back in December for a new and improved version. In the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions, please contact jonchristensen@stanford.edu.

This project is supported by a generous grant from the Presidential Fund for Innovation in the Humanities at Stanford University. We have also collaborated closely in this project with Mapping the Republic of Letters, another interdisciplinary research project supported by the presidential fund, and with Nicole Coleman, the academic technology specialist in the Stanford Humanities Center.
