Stanford Medical Students for Choice was formed to spread awareness of abortion rights and other reproductive health issues. In order for choice and access to be a reality for women, more doctors must be trained to provide complete women's health care, including abortion and reproductive counseling.
Each year, we plan many activities, including a series of guest speakers and films, shadowing experiences at Planned Parenthood, and other awareness events. We also participate in the National Medical Students for Choice conference, which features an array of lively workshops and debates, and many opportunities for networking with pro-choice students and providers from around the country. Please come check us out and meet other pro-choice Stanford medical students.
