SITP Visitor Driving, Parking, and Walking Information

(2). How to drive from SFO (Freeway 101), park near the Cantor Arts Museum, and walk
to SITP/Varian Physics Bldg
From SFO, head north. Keep
right at the fork. Then take the ramp onto US-101 South. Take exit 404B for Willow Road West. Merge onto Willow Road. Turn left onto Middlefield Road. Turn right on to University Avenue then continue onto Palm Drive. Turn right onto Campus Drive. Turn left onto Lomita Drive. You will then arrive at the Cantor Arts Museum. After you have parked and paid or used a permit,
walk towards campus (this is past Roth way and heading towards Serra Mall). You
will pass the Old Chemistry Building and Herrin Labs. You will come upon Serra Mall. Go
right on Serra Mall until you reach the intersection of Serra Mall and Lomita
Mall. Continue down Lomita Mall until you see Via Pueblo. Turn onto Via Pueblo
and Varian will be the building on your right.
(3). How to drive from SFO (Freeway 101), park in the
Stanford S-2 parking structure, and
walk to SITP/Varian Physics Bldg
From SFO, head north. Keep
right at the fork. Then take the ramp onto US-101 South. Exit at Embarcadero Road west toward Stanford. Embarcadero becomes Galvez Road as you enter Stanford at El Camino Real. Stay in the
left lane past Arboretum Drive. Turn right on Campus Drive East at the first stop sign on Galvez. Campus Drive East
turns into Campus
Drive West
as it passes Palm
Drive.
Continue on Campus
Drive to Via
Ortega, and turn left.
Turn right into the
four-story parking structure near the end of Via Ortega. Metered parking is
available on the first floor. Please note that parking is monitored Monday
through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Bring change: Parking meters are $1.50 per hour. If you plan to stay more than
an hour, you should consider a visitor parking permit.
Once you have parked, exit
the parking structure and retrace your route down Via Ortega. Turn right at Via
Pueblo. Continue down Via Pueblo to the Varian Physics Building, the third building on the right.
