MEDICAL GRAND ROUNDS - AUGUST 13 - FAIRCHILD - 8:00 a.m.
"The Electronic Medical Record"
I could add to the title ". . . we need it at Stanford". Ted will address the availability and installation strategies as well as giving "hands-on" description of how it could work.
He also may mention something about security and confidentiality, particularly relevant as Ted hisself punched the wrong reply button on his note to me, sending it to the world. We definitely wouldn't want that to happen with medical record information!
Ted Shortliffe knows the benefits and potential problems of a paper-free medical record with discerning depth. He is exceedingly adept at telling others some of what he knows.
