The Making of All Together Now

Doug Blumeyer accidentally switched the pause and record modes during an experimental horror shoot last quarter, ruining the footage, but was then inspired to write a comedy film parodying the incident, using the error as a gimmick to full dramatic and comedic advantage. But he wrote the comedy a little too personally, even including the love triangle between himself, his actress and former flame, and his actor the new boyfriend. So, when after completion of the comedy they split up, Doug had second thoughts about screening the comedy at this festival, lest it offend his actress and hurt his chances at getting back with her. He hid these selfish intentions from his crew with a bullshit tall tale about a Sign from God to not release the film. So the Sign from God isn't "bullshit," but maybe this entire movie is...

Man wakes up in hotel, pill case, nothing, dresses in hurry, exeunt. Man comes home bearing flowers, grabs beers. Woman catches subway train, Man is staring at Woman, Woman looks away, looks back, still staring, hold eye contact. Man goes to bedroom, Woman's throat slashed, shock. Woman gets off subway train, Man follows. Man paces, with beer, accuses, Woman screams, Man hits Woman, beats, regret. Man follows Woman to hotel room door. Man collects himself, attempts to comfort Woman, Woman pushes away, Man storms out, bitterness. Man and Woman in bed together, Man gets up, goes to sink. Man puts flowers into beer, leaves on the nightstand. Pill case, something.
