The new season kicked off with our annual Red Barn Festival. The day was a huge success, featuring great riding, food, and wine. The day's programming featured a sit-a-buck class, our annual Student vs. Alumni Challenge, and the $7500 Stanford Invitational Jumper Classic. In the evening, guests moved indoors to the historic Red Barn to enjoy delicious wine and cheese pairings supplied by local purveyors. Thank you to all guests and participants for your continued support of the Stanford Equestrian Team.

Stanford Equestrian welcomes 9 new team members joining us for the 2009-2010 season. Several of our new riders made their intercollegiate debuts the past two weekends. The Cardinal has made a strong start to the season, with both the English and Western sides winning their respective season openers. Already, Team Vice-President KC Simon, Team President Jane Sunde, and sophomore Logan Hehn have qualified for the post-season as individual competitors. They will appear at Regionals, hosted at Stanford this spring.

Stanford will host its first home show of the season on November 14 and 15.
