The Stanford University owns more than twenty horses and is privileged to be able to use another dozen that are privately owned. All of our horses are donated and they come from diverse backgrounds. Their experience runs the gamut from Louis our seasoned champion regular working hunter who now, as a 20 year old, proudly teaches crossrails, to Stanley who currently competes in the medals, to our new baby Lucy, who, at 5 years old, is being brought along to make a fine equitation mount. Our horses are the heart of our program and make some of the best teachers for our riders.
We also would like to thank all of the horse owners who have donated horses to our program, as well as those that let us use their beloved horses in our shows and lessons.
