Stanford Pre-College Equestrian Team Sessions Mounted practices will emphasize equitation on the flat and over fences. Coaches will focus on the development of excellent horsemanship, showmanship and sportsmanship in the collegiate arena. Educational sessions will focus on how riding fits into the college application process, highlight the differences between the IHSA and NCAA and coach students on how to navigate the unique opportunities and challenges associated with collegiate equestrian activities. Riders will bring their own lunch, as well as running shoes and workout clothes as each afternoon will involve fitness sessions including, but not limited to, pilates, running, weight training and yoga. The Pre-Collegiate Horsemanship Intensives are available by application to high school riders. Priority will be given to Red Barn or Woodside team members though riders from other programs will be accepted as space allows. Session A: July 1-7 Interested in a Summer Program at the Stanford Red Barn?
