The Center supports a small grants program for Stanford University graduate students and Stanford University faculty affiliates.

Graduate Student Grants

For incoming graduates, the Center funds the C. Wright Mills Scholar Awards, designed to support students with a strong interest in poverty and inequality scholarship. These awards are disbursed to prospective graduate students who accept an admission offer from Stanford University [read more].

Faculty Grants

The Center also awards one or more research grants each year to support Stanford University faculty carrying out research on poverty and inequality. These grants, intended as start-up funding, assist in the development of grant proposals and new and innovative research programs [read more].
