Stanford Campus Residential Leaseholders ("SCRL") is an independent, non-profit community organization. Our members include the homeowners of over 850 homes on the Stanford campus, on land leased from Stanford University. Only Stanford faculty and staff are eligible to purchase homes on the campus. We estimate that about 2,500 residents live in our community.

As a public benefit community association, SCRL represents the interests of and acts on behalf of Stanford campus homeowners on a variety of issues and concerns. SCRL's specific purposes are outlined in the SCRL bylaws and in SCRL's agreement with Stanford University -- available in the website's "Organizational Info" section. SCRL works closely with Stanford University officials and representatives from local government agencies on many projects.

The SCRL Board of Directors is elected by the membership at the Annual SCRL Meeting. Board members serve for two year terms.

Stanford Gas Pipeline Work Update from PG&E, August 24, 2013

159' of 24" main line has been installed on the north side of Matadero Creek. This section is not backfilled yet but will be completed along with an additional 160' by end of this week.

400' of the 2" tap line on Stanford Avenue has been installed and an additional 100' section will be installed by Friday 4/26. Parking restrictions will be lifted for this portion of the work on Stanford Avenue once completed.

PG&E will be closing the right hand lane and the bicycle lane on Northbound Foothill Expressway between Hillview Ave. and Page Mill Rd. in Palo Alto, Monday through Saturdays from 9AM to 4:30PM starting 4/11/13 until 6/15/13. Additionally, PG&E will also be closing these lanes the entire weekend of May 4th starting Friday Night, May 3rd at 9PM to Monday Morning, May 6th 5AM

Updated Schedule:

4/29 - 5/6: The 4" tap line north of Santa Maria Avenue will be constructed. This work will include Junipero Serra Boulevard (JSB) traffic lane shifts but should not require lane closures to complete.

5/3 - 5/5: Next Friday evening at 9PM, 24 hour round the clock excavation work will begin, with 2-12 hour shifts to complete excavation and slide rail shoring installation at both Matadero Creek bore and receiving pits. In order to facilitate required schedule limitations, the majority of crews and will be off work Thursday 5/2 and Friday day 5/3, so very minor work will occur during those two day shifts.

5/6 - 5/13: Monday morning actual boring procedure begins to install 24" carrier pipe beneath Matadero Creek. This is expected to be completed by weeks end if no unexpected delays are encountered. Shift will be 9AM - 4:30PM as permits allow to minimize noise disruption at night. During the time boring operations continue, crews will continue installing 24" open lay pipe adjacent to the creek unless boring operation prohibits this due to space restrictions.

5/13: Deep well Anode installation will be completed in the South bore pit immediately following the bore.

5/6 - 6/3 Night Work: the 8" tap line work north west of Page Mill and JSB will take place at night. Night shift will be 9PM - 5AM as permits allow to alleviate traffic tie ups during the day. This work will affect all lanes of JSB on the N/side of Page Mill and the #2 W/bound lane of Page Mill.

5/8: Proposed Nitrogen Test to be placed on new installed 2" Stanford Avenue tap line and 4" tap line north of Santa Maria on the same day. These are 1 hour tests. Stanford Ave closure is being requested for this work to be accomplished. The tap north of Santa Maria will include JSB lane shifts but should not require lane closures to complete.

5/13 - 5/17: Hydro test new 24" open lay and bore piping at Matadero Creek. This includes the 116' section installed last year but not tested.

5/27 - 5/29: Clearance and Tie-In of all new main line and taps. Work will be coordinated over a 3 day period. Upon clearing, the main line will be tied together at N/side of Matadero Creek and Page Mill tap on 5/27. This will allow ARB to caliper the entire section of ARB's installation and 6000' installed by USP, from S/side of creek to north of Santa Maria on 5/28. On 5/29 final tie in of the 3 taps and main line at the S/side of the creek and north of Santa Maria will be completed. This work will include use of CNG to keep associated taps serving customers during the extended clearance.

6/3 - 6/27: Cleaning and retirement of the old L109 along JSB will begin immediately after tie ins on 5/30 and should be completed by 6/12. This includes retirement of all associated Taps.

6/28 - 7/9: Excavation, Cleaning and Retirement of the old L109 along Sand Hill Road.

7/12/13: Clean up and all restoration work scheduled to be completed

Final Micro Seal along JSB should occur before July 31, 2013.
