Many plants thrive best when started in a greenhouse. Our first greenhouse was built in 1997 and flooded with the El Niño rains that winter.

The second greenhouse covered a pit several feet higher to evade the water table. In 2002 a door was also added. It's stayed dry so far!

Seedlings stay warm and well-protected inside.

After a little nudge in the right direction, these babies brave the great outdoors!
