Islam to Get
Stanford Program

The School of Humanities and Sciences has begun planning for a new program in Islamic studies. As a first step, the Department of Religious Studies has announced a search for a senior scholar of Islam.

The program begins with a $9 million endowment, as a result of two major gifts to the university, matched by H&S Hewlett Challenge funds.
