Topic: Dating Among Africans
Summary:
We tend to have very passionate discussions which you can learn a lot from.Last meeting we learned a lot about dating among Africans at Stanford from our discussion (post meeting). Here are some key points for those of you who dared not to come :(
  1. SASA boys do date, its a myth that they don't. It turns out that they are aware that there is more to life than engineering text books. Yours truly has gone on a few dates with some SASA guys and they were perfect gentlemen (Lets adopt a don't ask, I won't tell policy here:)).
  2. Sometimes boys are too shy to ask girls out and they would apreciate it if the girls asked them out.
  3. African women need to make up their mind about who should pay on the first date because guys are as confused as ever about what women want. What is sexist and what is not?
  4. Juggling dating and school at Stanford is not easy for both SASA boys and girls.
  5. Lastly SASA can be too formal for people to really get to know each other so we should find ways to make it a more sociable environment that can encourage friendships (and much more ofcourse!) to develop. Email exec members ideas of how we can make SASA more relaxed. In the mean time do this, at our next meeting ask for a fellow SASA member's number and call them randomly to check on them later.
Seriously if this does not make you come to our meeting I do not know what will, sigh..
