STANFORD AFFRICA BUSINESS FORUM (SABF)

The Stanford Africa Business Forum presents an opportunity for key stakeholders (business leaders, policy makers, faculty, and students) to exchange ideas and forge mutually-beneficial relationships that will facilitate development in Africa.
The upcoming conference scheduled for May 7-8, 2010 is themed: Fortune at the Bottom of the African Pyramid. It will feature panels and discussions surrounding the many opportunities that the African continent holds. We will seek to highlight individuals and organizations that demonstrate the immensely undercapitalized economic opportunities at the bottom of the African pyramid. By highlighting these opportunities, we will show that social and monetary investments at the bottom of the pyramid generate wealth for investors and investees.
Among the speakers for this year’s conference is Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, a key leader in the African National Congress (ANC) and a pioneer of women’s issues and social justice in South Africa and Mutiu Sunmonu, Country Chair of Shell companies in Nigeria, and Managing Director of Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria.
