Web Development Credits
The first RSA website was designed in 2001 by Dan Costinescu using a table-based layout. Ioan Vlad redesigned the site in 2004, creating the logo and replacing the tables with HTML + CSS. Cosana Eram contributed with graphic design feedback. Now the style-content separation is complete, in the spirit of the CSS Zen Garden. To check that, look on this page for the menu that allows to switch between different styles while keeping the same HTML. Anyone is welcome to submit to the webmaster stylesheets that change the appearance of the site without requiring alterations to the HTML content other than <span> and <div> tags which do not change the appearance of the existing styles. The designers will be acknowledged on this page and encouraged to submit for posting here the hacks/resources they used.

HTML/CSS Hacks used on this site
- Paul Sowden's Style Switcher, the best way to make sure that content is separated from style in your site, and to change the style of the site with minimal effort when needed.
- Leahy/Langridge Image Replacement (LIR). Unlike Fahrner's, it does not need a <span> tag around the text to be replaced.
- Stanicek's Cover-Up Method (SCUM). Unlike LIR, the text is visible even when the image cannot be downloaded. Also, unlike LIR or FIR, it can be used for links! - the substitution image becomes clickable; another image can be used on hover for added effect. Like FIR, requires a <span> tag.
- Alison Headley's footnotes through JavaScript Alert
- Transforming a list into a horizontal menu bar: 1, 2
- David Martin's web album scripts (Perl+Make)
