The mission of the Casa Zapata Staff is to create a dorm community wherein everyone feels supported and respected. We will strive to educate the residents, the greater community, and ourselves about the Chicano & Latino culture and to provide a better understanding, awareness, and respect of the many cultures we represent. We strive to create a sense of Familia y Hogar in the dorm so that people of all cultures and backgrounds will be welcome to express themselves and their ideas openly and comfortably. We hope to create an atmosphere in which everyone can enjoy themselves and each other through events and programs that we sponsor.
