La Casa Italiana Façade

Federico Fellini
1920-1993
Director

His father hoped that he would become a lawyer, but Fellini only went to enough classes at Rome University¹s Law School to avoid being drafted during World War II. Instead Fellini¹s non-traditional career path in which he experimented with writing, painting, acting, even court reporting eventually led his becoming an Oscar winning director. His most acclaimed films were known La Strada (1954), Le Notto di Cabiria (1957), La Dolce Vita (1960), and 8 1/2 (1963). He was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Oscars in 1992.
