Join us for an evening of music!
The organ recital, performed by Dr. Robert Huw Morgan, University Organist, will include works by Duruflé, Alain, and the powerful Fourth Symphony of Louis Vierne.
The Fourth Symphony was written just as the Great War was beginning. The dire tone that erupts in the first four notes of the piece takes you back to the somber state of the world in 1914. It has been said that this is one of the finest pieces of French organ symphonies; surely an event you do not want to miss.
Wednesday, May 6th, 8 p.m. at Memorial Church
Tickets: $10/ $5/ free to Stanford Students with ID
