A Festival of Lessons and Carols

The Memorial Church Choir, directed by Dr. Robert Huw Morgan, presents this annual seasonal program of holiday music and readings, based on the service at King’s College, Cambridge. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.
All are welcome. No ticket required.
Holiday Concert: Robert Huw Morgan, organ

Dr. Robert Huw Morgan, will perform his annual holiday concert in historic Memorial Church.
Dr. Morgan is the University Organist at Stanford University, a position he has held since 1999. A native of Wales, he received his BA and MA from Cambridge University and in 1989 became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists. In July 1999, he was awarded two doctorates in Organ Performance and Orchestral Conducting from the University of Washington in Seattle, where his teachers were Professors Carole Terry (organ) and Peter Eros (conducting). In addition to his duties as University Organist, he also holds the positions of Lecturer in Organ, Director of the Stanford University Singers, and Director of the Memorial Church Choir.

A reflective 30-minute service of hymns and chant sung in the tranquil candlelit ambiance of Memorial Church. All religious and non-religious backgrounds welcome.
