Introducing Brett Kawakami...


 I am interested in increasing our understanding of the molecular basis of biodegradation by using computational methods.  Through calculation of reaction energetics and simulating enzyme-substrate interactions, we can explain many of the differences in observed biodegradation rates for pollutants in the environment.
