2. Junior World Table Tennis Championships

Come check out the 2007 Junior World Table Tennis Championships this
Wednesday.  The event is going on all day (all week in fact! More info
here: http://www.2007wjttc.org/index.html), but we'll be meeting up at
Willis Lounge at 5:30 on Wednesday to catch Round 3 of the Girls
Singles at 6pm and Round 2 of the Mixed Doubles at 8pm.  Tickets are
$5 for Rains residents.  If you go earlier in the day, bring your
ticket stub or receipt to Elaine at Willis Lounge at 5:30 to get your
ticket partially subsidized.  Hope to see you there!

6. The "Finals are done!" Ice Cream Run

To celebrate the end of finals, we'll take you to your favorite ice
cream / frozen yogurt places. We'll all meet at Willis at 7pm, and
arrange carpools to different places in Palo Alto. Choices will
include Fraiche, Rick's Ice Cream, and Cold Stone Creamery. Rains will
pay for your ice cream.

7. Rains Ski Trip

Rains Ski Trip - Late January or early February
This years version of the annual Rains ski trip is going to North Lake
Tahoe. We are going to subsidize lodging near Squaw Valley, Alpine
Meadows, Sugar Bowl, Northstar, Homewood, and Tahoe Donner as well as
providing dinner on Saturday. We will also organize group rates at one
or two ski resorts to lower your costs. Look in Edrops early in the
new year for more details on costs and the pre-trip informational
meeting.

8. Rains CA Recruitment -  Free Dinner

Ever thought you might want to be a Rains CA?  Rains CAs are the 
people who put on the big social events in Rains, starting with the 
welcome festivities at the beginning of the year, and carrying on 
strong with neighborhood and Rains-wide events throughout the year.  
It only requires a bit of effort.  It's fun.  It's a great way to 
meet people.

If you want to know more about being a CA, come to our FREE 
DINNER/INFO SESSION in February.  We'll have some delicious catered 
food options, and a bunch of CAs on hand to answer your questions 
about the program.

for men and women.
