The last time Idan Raichel was at Stanford, the concert was sold out and a big hit. This time, Rains has tickets for you! We've got a block of 12 seats in the middle of the orchestra level of Memorial Auditorium, regular (student) price is $19, but we've got them for you for $10! Thursday 11/08/2007 at 9:00pm CA Contact: Fraser (fraser@stanford.edu) If you don't know what Mafia is, here is a description from Wikipedia: Mafia is a party game modeling a battle between an informed minority and an uninformed majority. During a basic game, players are divided into two teams: 'Mafia members', who know each other; and 'townspeople', who know only the number of Mafia amongst them. The goal of both teams is to eliminate each other. Don't worry if you've never played it before, you'll learn it quickly. LET RAINS HELP YOU OUT!! THERE ARE 7,700+ GRADUATE STUDENTS AT STANFORD - HOW WILL YOU EVER MEET THEM ALL?!? Speed dating is a non-contact sport that is gaining popularity. For the second year in a row, it comes to RAINS with grace, style, and, well, a little bit of wine. Here's the low-down: 20 fine young men, 20 lovely ladies, and 3 minutes of love at first sight - or not. After meeting your matches, pick the ones you like, and ditch the ones you didn't - no strings attached! Your information is dished only to those you choose - totally safe, totally hectic, and TOTALLY FUN!!! Attendance will be limited to ensure equal numbers of each sex - to participate, fill out the form online at: http://silverprincess.com/phpsurveyor/index.php?sid=1 BY FRIDAY NOVEMBER 2nd 5PM!! If you are chosen, you will be notified by email by Monday, November 5th. Participants will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis and in a manner to promote diversity. INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF GETTING A SPOT: the success of speed dating is highly dependent on gender balance, so if you apply with a friend of the opposite sex (this especially goes for the guys - drag out your cute, shy, friends-that-are-girls-but-not-your-"girlfriend"), you will have higher odds of getting in! And ladies, if you apply with another girl friend, your chance of getting in is higher, too!
