``More racquetball than a student should be allowed to play.'' -- Too many games to cover in detail.

The club is largely a work in progress: David is trying to recover his backhand power, Sam is trying to regain his accuracy, Monica is trying to regain her fitness, and Matt is trying to regain his sanity. Harvir seemed to be playing well tonight--it must be the result of a clear mind as his Senior thesis nears a successful conclusion (congrats!). I'll let the photos and video clips tell the rest of the story:

Some comments:

• Sam gets a gold star for wearing his eyeguards during warmup. The rest of you: 20 push-ups. (Warmup is actually one of the more dangerous times, as there are often two balls on the court, and you're only focused on one of them.) If your eyeguards fog up, talk to Jack to get a pair that don't.
• Compare your stroke mechanics to this tutorial. Notice how much the player in the tutorial is driving his stroke from his hip and shoulder rotation. This is why we don't need massive arm muscles to crush the ball, and why the sport is even somewhat nerd-friendly.
• A digital camera is not a good movie camera. Sorry. (and sorry about the rotated scenes--didn't realize there aren't many tools to un-rotate without changing the video format.)
