QUEST Special Speaker - Dr. Paul Robinson

Please join us Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mariposa House Conference Room for a special presentation by Dr. Paul Robinson in which he’ll share his experiences teaching Stanford student seminars and changes he’s seen in attitudes over decades. Paul Robinson is the Richard W. Lyman Professor in the Humanities, Emeritus. In the History Department since 1967, he teaches courses on modern European thought and culture. He has received Stanford's Dinkelspiel Award for Distinctive Contributions to Undergraduate Education. Among his books are The Freudian Left; The Modernization of Sex; Opera and Ideas; Freud and His Critics; and Gay Lives: Homosexual Autobiography from John Addington Symonds to Paul Monette. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
