Submission Requirements
The Organzing Committee requests that interested parties comply with the following standards:
Citation Format: Please use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes should be consecutively numbered throughout the text. Footnotes are to conform to the Chicago Manual of Style. Exceptions are made for legal citations that conform to the 18th edition of the Bluebook.
Margins and Font: Please use 1 inch margins on all pages containing text and use 12 point Times New Roman Font.
Additional Requirements: Manuscripts must include a cover page containing the title, author¢s name, institutional affiliation, and biographical information. On a separate page, the author must include no more than a 100 word abstract. Please do include the manuscript's title on the first text page.
Review Process: The IFP Committee carefully considers all submissions that it receives. We review pieces anonymously, without regard to the author's name, affiliation, prior publications, or pending publication offers. Our selection process has many steps: at least two reviewers evaluate every submission, and many pieces go through substantially more stages of review, and can include an Organizing Committee vote, a citation check, and peer review as well as other steps.
Notification of Acceptance:
Each paper will be reviewed by several reviewers and evaluated based on originality, importance of contribution, significance of the research and validity of the methodology and conclusions. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by September 18, 2006, and invited to the conference on October 21-24, 2006 to present their papers. IFP will provide travel tickets and accommodation for those authors of accepted papers who need to travel to Stanford.
PowerPoint Presentation:
Authors of accepted papers will be asked to provide Powerpoint presentations to
the organizing committee. Presentations will have a length of 20 minutes, with another 20
minutes reserved for Q&A and discussions.
