Redwood trees only grow on the Oregon and California coast and there are a lot of Redwood trees here. Redwoods are the tallest trees on Earth! Can you see the tops of the redwood trees? Redwood trees can grow 5 to 7 feet in a single year -- that’s as tall as an adult!

- Find a redwood that looks like it is still growing. Can you make some guesses about how old the tree might be?
- To help you figure it out, redwoods grow about the height of an adult each year! How long will it take for the tree to grow as tall as the very tallest trees?
