SPICE programs
The Office of the Vice Provost for
Graduate Education supports a number of graduate student groups in
the Physics
and Applied Physics Departments through
a SPICE
award. See our flyer. The programs include the following:
- Student-led Colloquia (by and for graduate students)
- Student-hosted Colloquia (featuring speakers invited by students)
- Excellence in Teaching discussions
- Physics and Public Policy discussion series
Some other graduate student groups in the Departments are
- MASS, the weekly Meeting of Astrophysics Students at Stanford
- SASS, the SLAC Association of Student Speakers
- The Condensed Matter Physics Student and Postdoc Journal Club
