May 28   Peruvian dinner in Wilbur Hall (dining room) organized by PES and Stanford Dining. Peruvian songs and dances. Open to everyone ($ 10 per person) from 5:15 to 7:15 pm.

June 15  Stanford Commencement. Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo to speak at 2003 Commencement ceremony

September 1   Lanzamiento de Peruanos en Stanford programado para octubre. Incluira musica, danzas y comida de Peru, y sera abierto a toda la comunidad universitaria.

September 29 PES 101: Introduction to Peru, the first activity and "official" presentation of PES to the Stanford community, have been scheduled on September 29 (1-5 pm) in EV Center. We will have peruvian food, drinks and music: cebiche, lomo saltado, arroz con pollo, alfajores and suspiro a la limeņa; pisco sour, chicha morada, Cristal and algarrobina; musica criolla and peruvian pop (NSQ y NSC, Pedro Suarez Vertiz, Fragil, Mar de Copas, Arena Hash, Gianmarco).

October 12 Almuerzo de Integracion Hispanoamericana conmemorando el Dia de la Raza en Lyman Atrium a la 1:00 pm. Habra Arroz con Pollo (Peru), Asado (Argentina), Paella (Espaņa), Arepas (Venezuela-Colombia) y otros platos latinoamericanos. 

October 23 "Investigating the Origins of Authority: Excavations at Chavin de Huantar, Peru". Lecture by Professor John Rick, Chair of Anthropological Sciences, in Bolivar House at 12:00. 

November 2 "Dia de la Cancion Criolla". Peruvian dances at Stanford in Coffee House (Tressider Union Bldg.) Free admission for a wonderful event where professional dancers and singers of "Rompe y Raja" will be performing Marinera, Festejo, Zapateo afroperuano and Contrapunto de Cajones. This Saturday, November 2 at 7:30 pm.
