MSc. Kings College, University of London, Immunology
PhD. Kings College, University of London, Immunogenetics

Dr Norman’s long-term research interest is to understand how genetic factors cause individual differences in immune responses. His interest in this field was sparked during his tenure in the clinical transplantation laboratory of Guy’s Hospital, London. Dr Norman received his PhD from Kings College, London where his thesis investigated how natural selection has defined HLA and KIR variants and their distribution in modern human populations. Since joining the Parham Lab he has used a combination of genetic and functional assessment to explore the extent of human immune system variability.
