Dr Hilton’s research focuses on diversity in natural killer-cell receptors and how this variation influences both immunity and placental reproduction. He received his veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh and subsequently undertook post-graduate specialist clinical training in equine medicine at the University of California at Davis. Whilst at UC Davis he became involved in clinical research investigating equine immunology and neurology. He joined the Parham Lab in 2010 and is currently researching the genetic and functional variation of human lineage III killer-cell immunoglobulin-like receptors.
