Parents' Club of Stanford University
The Parents' Club of Stanford University, celebrating its 82nd anniversary this year, was founded to support Stanford and its students and to involve parents in the life of the university. We help make Stanford a home-away-from-home for students, serve as a valued resource for parents, and have proudly funded undergraduate scholarships for eight decades. The Parents' Club offers ways to be directly involved on campus as well as services that can be enjoyed from anywhere in the US and abroad. All parents of current and former Stanford students are invited to participate.
The Parents' Club sponsors the monthly "Program Series of Distinguished Faculty Speakers and Campus Tours" for the Stanford community and hosts events with the University during New Student Orientation (September 18, 2007), Reunion Homecoming (October 11-14, 2007), Parents' Weekend (February 22-23, 2008), Admit Weekend (April 24-27, 2008), and Commencement Weekend (June 16-17, 2008).
To help parents send good wishes to their students and to support our Scholarship Endowment Fund, we offer our popular Birthday Cake, Balloon, Flower and Plant Delivery Services for special occasions, as well as our Catalog of Stanford gifts, which includes our cookbook, 'What's Cooking at Stanford." The Parents' Club has gathered recipes from several continents, spanning 114 years at Stanford for this unique collection.
We sponsor several activities during New Student Orientation to welcome new Stanford parents. Look for the Parents' Club Booth on White Plaza, the Parent Lounge in Tresidder Union, the "Letting Go: Parent-to-Parent Advice Seminar" and the Parent Dinner with the Provost. We look forward to meeting you, and hope that you will join us whenever you are on campus.
