Students are welcome to post their questions on the forum for this project.
  1. Classify each Amino Acid as aromatic, hydrophobic or hydrophilic.
  2. In the folded state of a protein, where is the most likely positin for each of these Amino Acids: Surface of the protein (exposed to water) or interior structure (away from water).
  3. How does protein misfolding is thought to cause the disease that you studied.
  4. Why and how proteins fold?
  5. How does distributed computing work?
  6. How does molecular modeling work in the study of protein folding.
  7. How are the proteins made in the cells?
  8. How are the results of computer simulations are validated experimentally?
  9. How can knowledge gained from the studies of protein folding have practical applications?
