PAS Mailing Lists
PAS operates two mailing lists: pas-announce@ lists.stanford.edu and pas-discussion@lists.stanford.edu.. The purpose of the announce list is to allow the current PaS officer core to nform members of PaS-related activities and eventso, while keeping list traffic to a minimum. On the other hand, the discussion lists serves to maintain a forum in which members of PAS can discuss issues related to Pakistan and relevant to the community, and engage in other open discussions. All members are added to the pas-announce list, while pas-discussion membership is on a voluntary basis.
All subscribers to the PaS mailing lists must abide by the guidelines set forth in the PaS List Rules, in order to facilitate appropriate, tolerable discussions. These fairly simple, common sense rules can be viewed and downloaded here. Any violation of the list rules will initially result in a warning from the PaS Webmaster/List owner. A subsequent violation could result in the termination of the individual's PaS list membership.

For both the pas-announce and pas-discussion email lists:
Send an email to
LISTNAME-join @ lists.stanford.edu (where LISTNAME is either pas-announce or pas-discussion). The subject and body of the message will be ignored, so it doesn't matter what you put there.
To send an email to PAS-discussion mailing list
To send an email to the PaS discussion mailing list, address the email to either:
pas-discussion@ lists.stanford.edu
Note: The list is restricted to PAS members. If you are not a member of
PAS and would like to post a message, please send your message to
pas-owner @ lists.stanford.edu, who will forward it to the PAS mailing list.
Any technical questions should be addressed to pas-owner @ lists.stanford.edu.
