- Friday, Feb 24th, 2006 : Co-sponsorship of Rhythms, Sanskriti's campus-wide cultural show. All proceeds went to UNICEF to aid earthquake victims in South Asia.
- Sunday Feb 12th - Sunday Feb 19th, 2006: Stanford Pan-Asian Music Festival. Presented by the Asian Religious & Cultural Initiative and the Department of Music.

- A 90 minute long Video Documentary on the state of dance in Pakistan by Faizaan Peerzada. Presented by 3rd I and co-sponsored by Stanford India Association [details]
- Saturday, Feb 26, 2005: The annual Pakistani kite flying festival,
Basant

- Sunday Nov 21, 2004: Big Sib/Lil Sib Bowling Night.

- Sunday Nov 14, 2004: Eid Day - Early morning eid prayers
followed by breakfast at IHOP and then a trip to the beach.

- Sat Nov 13, 2004: 'Eid - Family Front Night' was
celebrated with a delicious desi meal along with a comedy
family sitcoms like Alif Noon and Family Front.
- Friday Oct 22, 2004: The undergrads challenged the
graduate students on a tape ball cricket match at the EV
School ground. The series ended in a tight draw 1:1. [pictures]

all the new students.

of bowling followed by dinner.

2004: PaS Movie Nite! PaS screened the documentary
'Will They See Light?', produced and directed by Maham Abbas
Mela, and episodes of the famous Pakistani comedy series
50-50.

Eid Celebration! PaS celebrated Eid by having mittahi
in the morning, followed by an evening of bowling and dinner.

Not Hate": A Town Hall Gathering on US-Muslim World
Relations. This event is co-sponsored by PaS. Please

- Sunday, October 5, 2003: PaS
Welcome BBQ. PaS 2003-04 welcomed new Paksitanis to
Stanford by hosting a mouth-watering BBQ under a grove of
trees near the Oval.
Past Events
- Sunday, June 15, 2003: Stanford
Commencement 2003. A photograph of five of our Pakistani
graduates.
- Saturday May 24th, 2003: Farewell Dinner. PaS 2002-2003
closed the academic year with an elegant farewell dinner
for the graduating class. The event was very widely attended
by PaS members, friends and family. Graduation gifts were
presented to the graduating students and they shared their
wisdom with the younger lot. This year's graduating class
includes Shuaib Arshad, Hammad Saleem, Waqar Mohsin, Masood
Siddiqi, Irem Janjua, Samira Khan, Abid Mohsin, Saad Waqas
and Mudassir Sheikha. PaS wishes them a prosperous, bright
and happy future.
- Friday May 16th, 2003: Kaif
Concert. Kaif was stunning. Some 150 people were highly
entertained by the hits from Junoon, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan,
and the ensuing Bhangras. The event was widely covered by
the Press including Paknews
and the Stanford
Daily. Donations were collected and were sent to The
Citizen's Foundation in Pakistan.
- February 21, 2003:
International
Gala 2003. Tender and spicy Shalimar Kababs rocked this
year's International Gala.
- February 15, 2003:
PaS
Welcome BBQ. We were pleased to have Dr Riffat Hussain
at the event. New students, you stand welcomed!
- January 21, 2003: A luncheon with Pakistan's Consul General
in Los Angeles, Madam Raana Rahim. The Consul General answered
questions about the INS registration drive and allayed anxieties.
- December 16, 2001:
Eid
Party . We got together in Escondido Village 21-D to
enjoy Halal KFC and later went for bowling.
- November 12, 2001: Coffee Eve. We got together on Monday
in the Coffee house to discuss several issues concerning
the role of PaS.
