ABOUT US
We are a student-run organization at Stanford University interested in the promotion of optical science and technology. We collaborate with the Optical Society of America (OSA) Headquarters, SPIE Headquarters, other OSA and SPIE student chapters, and groups like the Stanford Photonics Research Center (SPRC) to provide exciting educational, networking, and community outreach activities.In 2006, we became an official Stanford University Student Group, combining our existing Stanford Student OSA Chapter with a new Stanford Student SPIE Chapter. Dues-paying student members have priority for limited-seating events, but many of our events are open to everyone. Anyone interested in optics is encouraged to join our mailing list and participate in our events!
