Does anyone know if Notch signaling can activate the wnt pathway? It has been documented by Chen Oncotarget that Jagged-1 can be produced by both Notch and Wnt pathways. Is there any research publication that talks about the wnt/B-Catenin pathway being activated through Notch Signaling? I'm trying to do some research on maintenance of stem cell pluripotency and I wanted to look at the Notch pathway. I'm curious to find out does Notch signaling activate the wnt/B-Catenin pathway or does it activate any other known pathways responsible for the maintenance of pluripotency?

Notch post-translationally regulates β-catenin in stem cells

Here's a very recent paper published by Kwon et al in Nature Cell Bio that describes Notch as having antagonistic effects on Wnt/β-catenin signaling:

Kwon et al. Notch post-translationally regulates β-catenin protein in stem and progenitor cells. Nature Cell Biology (2011) vol. 13 (10) pp. 1244-51

Notch signaling regulates stem cell numbers in vitro and in vivo

Thank you I had to do a lot of searching but I was able to find one published by Androutsellis A. et al. in Nature. Notch signaling regulates stem cell number in vitro and in vivo. Vol 442/17 August 2006. The article I found was from 2006 and it was the only thing concrete I had to point me in the right direction. Once again thanks and i'll be sure to check it out.
