Research Interests
I am interested in the kinematics of the human body using real-time
MRI techniques. My current research is focused on the study of patellofemoral
pain, a common, debilitating disorder whose cause remains uncertain. Particularly,
I am studying whether differences in cartilage thickness between the patella
and femur may be present in patellofemoral subjects compared to pain-free
subjects. I am creating cartilage thickness maps of both groups of subjects
from data collected in an open MR scanner under physiological loaded conditions
in order to make my comparison.
