Oops, guess I forgot to post about last week’s showing, where we watched episodes 19-20 of Macross FRONTIER and episodes 20-21 of Gurren Lagann in addition to the one-shot Maria Holic episode 1. Tonight, we will be showing episodes 21-22 of Macross FRONTIER and episodes 22-23 of Gurren Lagann in room 200-030 at 8PM as usual. See you there!

Hey everyone! Welcome back to Stanford for Winter Quarter. We will be showing more Gurren Lagann and Macross FRONTIER this quarter, but please note the room change. Our first showing is going to be this Friday, January 16, 2009 at 8PM in room 200-030. See you there!

Hey everyone! We will be closing out the quarter with a study break, featuring one episode each of Macross FRONTIER and Gurren Lagann, followed by a raffle for two gift certificates from Right Stuf, an online anime retailer. Each time you filled out a survey at the end of showing, you were automatically entered into this drawing. After the raffle, we will be just chilling and playing either DDR, Smash Brothers or some other fun games while socializing. See you there!

For showing tonight, we’ll be doing something different, since there might be people who are not going to be here due to Thanksgiving Recess. Instead of watching Macross FRONTIER and Gurren Lagann, we will be showing episodes one through five of Tora Dora. If you may recall, we showed the first episode at our first showing, and it was quite well received. If you can, stop by room 200-034 in the basement of the History Corner at 8PM. We’ll see you there!

We showed one episode of Chaos;Head as a one-shot random about an otaku who has problems telling apart delusions from reality. Following that, we got to watch Ranka star in a film about Macross Zero and Alto’s decision about his birthday in two episodes of Macross FRONTIER. Finally, we watched two episodes of Gurren Lagann to see how Simon rebounds from his decrepit state with Nia’s help. Here were the ratings:

We’ll be having a showing tonight, 8PM, in room 200-034 of the History Corner. After the one-shot random, learn all about the Legend of Zero, just as planned ;), in our showing of Macross FRONTIER and get ready to see some more mecha action in Gurren Lagann.

We showed the first episode of Tytania, a space opera from the creator of Legends of Galactic Heroes and the Heroic Legend of Arslan. This was followed by a comedic filler episode of what might have turned out to be the worst obituary ever in Macross FRONTIER, followed by an actual episode where we look into Michel’s past. The two episodes of Gurren Lagann we showed consisted of teary farewells and awkward meetups, culminating in a faceoff between a giant Gunman and a petit girl. Here are the feedback for the shows:
