Stanford Newtype Anime

Stanford University Nikkei (undergrad Japanese club) and Stanford Japanese Assocation (grad Japanese club) will be holding a Japan Day event from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, May 9, in the Bechtel I-center. Activities include demos of flower arranging, taiko, tea ceremony, various musical performances, food, and cultural aspects like yukata and calligraphy. People interested in Japanese culture are invited to attend.

Afterwards, from 5pm to 7pm in White Plaza, the Taiwanese Cultural Society will be holding their annual night market event with various activities and food. Stanford Newtype will be there with a booth for DDR. Please swing on by if you have the time.

There will be a weekly showing tonight at 8PM in room 200-305 in the History Corner. We will be showing two episodes of Kannagi (8-9) and two episodes of Code Geass (20-21) this time. Last week’s random was the totally chaotic True Mazinger Z.
