Re: Anyone know what TCP port 59 is used for?



I noticed a couple other responses that mentioned mIRC.

I see this port go crazy every once in awhile. What I found was (by using top talkers)
the IRC flood virus was on the computers who came to the top of the list. There were a
few times this was not so - but only a few. Those times - it stopped and I don't know
why.

I also heard there is a new peer to peer that may be using this port, but I don't have
any names or confirmation (a student told me). Anybody heard this yet?
