Authentication Project Planning Group project
Background: Several key people from research universities and regional network providers met in May '94 on several topics. They termed themselves "the Common Solutions Group". Among other things, they saw a need for a common authentication infrastructure among higher education institutions. They chartered an inter-institutional project group to analyze the issues and prepare a report. The AuthPPG group presented the report on 26-Sep-94.
