Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of discourse representation theory, (modal) predicate logic, set theory.

Summary: This course gives an introduction to systems of dynamic semantics, their motivation, and their role on the semantics/pragmatics interface. We will discuss Dynamic Predicate Logic, Dynamic Modal Predicate Logic and Predicate Logic with Anaphora and focus on concepts and themes like (i) reference and modality, (ii) assertion and presupposition, (iii) content, update and support in information interchange, (iv) information structure, questions and answers.
