Quantification

Prerequisites:
Summary: The course is an introduction to the field of (generalized)
quantifier theory as applied to the semantics of natural languages.
After presenting basic concepts and methods, it analyzes fundamental
properties of natural language quantifiers, then surveys issues of
their expressive power, and ends with a discussion of reciprocals as
an instance of polyadic quantification.
Prerequisites are basic first-order logic and some familiarity with
semantics and pragmatics.
