interested in graduate (PhD) training in Anthropological Genetics
have two options at Stanford. Students in both the Anthropological
Sciences and the Biosciences PhD programs may choose to work with
Dr. Mountain. |

| The
Department of Anthropological Sciences offers a Masters of Science
(MS) degree, a Masters of Arts (MA) degree, and Doctoral (PhD) degree.
The Department of Genetics offers a Doctoral (PhD) degree. See the
Stanford Bulletin for details of these degree programs (as above).
PhD students in both programs receive financial support in the form
of tuition and a stipend. Masters students must locate their own financial
support. |

We recommend that, in preparing your statement, you keep in mind
